Milestone - Imitating our movement Part II

In my earlier post, I have mentioned that Ryan is able to imitate our hand movement. In one of the comments, Chee Yee, a mommy blogger suggested that I try sticking out my tongue and I would get a good laugh out of it.

Out of curiosity, I did exactly that for the last two days to see how Ryan would react to it.

I noticed that he would look intently at me everytime I stick my tongue out and he would smiled and laughed sheepishly. It was fun to watch, but he made no attempts to imitate. So, I gave up after 2 days for playing `stick your tongue out game' with him.

Today, he gave me a shock. We went out for our lunch and on the way home, we stopped by a petrol kiosk to fill up the car. When I returned to the car, my sister and wife were laughing and I asked them why. They claimed that Ryan has been cheekily sticking out his tongue to tease them. He did not repeat it for me at that very moment.

When we got home, when I was changing his diaper and as usual I will be playing and making funny faces at him to distract him. Unconsciously, I stuck my tongue out. The reaction I received was amazing. Ryan STUCK HIS TONGUE OUT back at me and smiled! I repeated the action and he responded equally. I quickly grabbed the camera and this was what I saw.

It only took him 2 days to learn and respond to me accordingly. I am totally amazed. We certainly had a good laugh! Now, the problem is, how to get him to stop.....sigh......

Hello ladies. Yupe. He is definitely one cheeky boy. In fact, he has just reinvented his tongue sticking routine by adding plenty of his saliva to go with it. Yucksssss....Everytime he will stick up his tongue, blow some saliva bubble and wait for our response. Then he will break into one of his cheeky smile and start all over again!!!

Your boy is really good at this, eh. I think he would stop this only when he finds other new movements to imitate..hehe

Huh? Did I suggest to you on this? OMG. There must be some misunderstanding some where.

Frankly speaking, I never do that to both my kids. But my boy do likes to play with the saliva. Just like your Ryan, he will blow some saliva bubble too.

Oh dear Chee Yee. It's not you. My mistake! My mistake! Thousand apologies! It's leeyen. Haha. Sincere apologies. But nevertheless, it was a cool trick that we got him to do. Gave us tonnes of laughter. Now that he has learnt it, got to get him to move on...haha..

Ryan is really good in imitating your movement. He is a quick learner.

Yupe. He is fast. Yesterday, he was trying to imitate my wife by moving his tongue from left to right. Just a matter of time, before he will pick up.
